My Story

Sat in intensive care with my tiny baby in my arms, I realised I’d had an incredibly lucky second chance at life aged just 24. I’d had a life-threatening Pulmonary Embolism, if it had moved 2 inches from lung to heart I would have died.

This 'waking up' experience brought into sharp focus that life is not a rehearsal. I knew I had potential but that if I was ever going to reach it, I was going to have to dare to live my life more boldly. I needed to make some big life changes. So I did!

Fast forward through another 20 years, and I've faced many other transformational experiences that threatened to overwhelm me. But instead of imploding, I learnt how to get through them stronger, clearer, more determined.

I've made big changes in my life and the hardest of these have been the inner work to break old patterns, heal traumatic experiences and find the wisdom contained in the worst moments.

This has brought me over time to being a version of myself that I’m proud of, with incredible relationships and doing work that feels soul-aligned. I firmly believe it is possible to grow through what you go through. I've done it.

My background & qualifications

My approach revolves around my deep interest in how people transform. The early part of my career was in business transformation and later consulting on cultural change, leadership development and coaching. I have coached, taught and developed thousands of leaders from top global organisations, across banking, retail, tech, public sector and even an F1 team! 

I qualified as an Executive Coach and Mentor before specialising in Adult Developmental Coaching, have certified in hypnotherapy, shadow work and emotional freedom techniques and have qualified as a Systemic Team Coach and Coach Supervisor. I now have the privilege of being an educator for other coaches, where I get to share my passion for all things coaching.

I work with Executives, Leaders and Coaches to help them deliberately develop.

I offer developmental 1:1, group and team coaching, with a focus on personal and professional growth.

Why I Created Deliberately Developmental

I set up Deliberately Developmental to support leaders, coaches, and anyone who is deeply curious about their own growth. After years in leadership, coaching, and navigating life’s challenges myself, I saw the same truth repeated: growth does not happen by accident. It happens when we deliberately choose it.

Too many people reach a point in life or work where they feel stuck, unfulfilled, or as if they are not living fully into who they could be. I know this feeling well. My own journey has taken me through significant life changes that demanded I grow, adapt, and discover a deeper sense of self. Each time, I found that the process of adult development, when combined with skilled coaching and real-world leadership experience, can be truly transformative.

Deliberately Developmental was created for those who want more than surface-level fixes. It’s for people who want to expand their awareness, lead with authenticity, and create freedom and joy in both their personal and professional lives.
