Deliberately Developmental

TEAMS

Team coaching that grows leadership, not just performance.

Most team development focuses on surface-level change—communication skills, shared goals, or behaviour tweaks. It might create short-term shifts, but rarely transforms how a team thinks, relates, and leads.

Deliberately Developmental Team Coaching goes deeper.

We help leadership teams evolve vertically—building the individual and collective capacity to lead with more confidence, maturity, and impact in the face of complexity, change, and pressure.

Unlock your team’s next level of leadership

Where deeper connection meets shared purpose—and conscious collaboration drives meaningful impact and lasting results.

What to expect

Every engagement is tailored to your team’s unique culture and context, and includes:

Pre-Programme Call with Sponsor - A pre-programme call with the Sponsor to clarify your intentions, identify the levers and pre-work/diagnostics that will make the difference for the team.

Development Days - A series (or occasionally a one-off) development days focused on collective engagement on real issues and real world solutions

Developmental Focus - Theoretical and practical application of a range of vertical development frameworks, tools and methods to support the conversations and growth your teams actually need

Expert facilitation for creating psychological safety - Space for reflection, honest dialogue and insight so your people have the conversations they need to have to evolve and grow, together

Integration - Follow-up to support integration, behavioural shifts and embed this in to the teams new ways of working

What’s different about a deliberately developmental approach?

Traditional team days often stay at the same level of thinking that created the challenge in the first place. We work at the level beneath behaviour, supporting your team to grow in how they make meaning, hold tension, and respond under pressure.

This isn’t about performance hacks.
It’s about growing the team from the inside out.

Common team challenges we help with:

  • Unclear roles, duplication, or conflict avoidance

  • Teams that are “fine” on the surface but misaligned underneath

  • Individual brilliance without collective maturity

  • Decision-making that’s reactive, political, or overly cautious

  • Loss of connection to purpose, trust, or energy

Awareness
Where are we now as a team?
Surfacing what's really going on - strengths, blind spots, tensions and patterns, through open reflection and real dialogue.

Aspiration
What kind of team do we want to be?
Define your shared ambition, purpose, and the kind of leadership you want to practise and embody together.

Approach
How do individuals and teams grow?
Introduce vertical development as a lens for understanding how your team can evolve—not just perform better, but lead differently.

Assessment
What drives each of us?
Use individual and/or team assessments (e.g. the Stages Leadership Maturity Profile) to uncover what matters most to each team member, and how that shapes the collective.

Application
How will we lead and work better, together?
Translate insight into action—through practical tools, shifts in mindset, and new ways of working that unlock deeper trust and effectiveness.

Alignment
What next, and how do we sustain it?
Agree key commitments and follow-up steps. Ensure insight leads to embedded change with clear ownership and ongoing reflection

"Thanks so much for all your help, guidance and support this year, you've made a massive difference to me and the way I lead”

"Club Soda engaged Debbie to coach our team through a difficult phase in product development. Members of the team were pulling in different directions, and we struggled to make clear decisions together about our next steps. Faced with competing priorities and clashing personalities, Debbie brought calm, clarity and coherence. In our team sessions, she held a space in which people could respectfully hear each other, so we could collectively make better decisions. As a result, we were able to co-create a plan, and individual team members felt empowered to take ownership of the outcomes.”

Dru Jaegar - Co-Founder and Director of Programmes, Club Soda
